“The time has come,” the Framer said,
“To talk of other things:
Of shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax—
Of retirement—and things—
Of why the sea is getting hot—
And we all know pigs have wings.” (Sorry, Lewis Carrol)
And so, on the first of July 2025 I will no longer be offering my services as a professional picture framer. I’ve had a great 25 years serving the artistic community and the general public and, in that time, I’ve been granted the privilege of framing some fabulous artworks, artifacts, and personal treasures.
My thanks to all my customers over the years and you’ll still find me at weekend markets in Northam, York and Toodyay, where I’ll be still masquerading as my alter ego the writer, Dan Cotton.
I have plenty of Matboard and Frame Mouldings, including full size items and off-cuts and I’m still happy to do the odd job using the above until stocks dry up, or repairs such as glazing. If you are an artist or simply thinking of going into the industry I have all the equipment for sale at very good prices.
